Information We Collect
When you engage us to provide insurance services, we will ask you for nonpublic personal information (NPI) as well as other information necessary to provide our products and services. NPI is information that identifies you as an individual or relates to an identifiable individual (such as your name, social security and email address). We may combine the information submitted under various forms and services in order to provide customers with a better experience and to improve the quality of our services. Information we collect:
Name, address, Social Security number, assets and income, email address, driver’s license number, medical information and other information that individually or combined constitutes NPI
Your transactions with us or your transactions with others, such as account activity, payment history, and products and services
Visitors to our websites, such as information from on-line forms as well as on-line information collection devices, commonly called “cookies”
Information from other sources, such as such as public databases, joint marketing partners, social media platforms (including from people with whom you are friends or otherwise connected) and from other third parties
How We Share Information
The information TriPoint gathers is shared within our company to enable us to maximize the services we provide to our customers. We will only disclose your NPI as is necessary for us to deliver insurance products and risk management services. TriPoint does not sell your protected information to third parties.
We may disclose the information described above to third parties with which we contract for services. In addition, we may disclose your protected information to third parties as is reasonably necessary to conduct our business or as otherwise permitted by law.
If you choose to decline to submit NPI to any of our services, there may be some instances in which we may not be able to provide those services to you.
We may share with third parties certain pieces of non-personal information, such as the number of users who searched for a particular term, for example. Such information does not identify you.
We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of data. These include internal reviews of our data collection, storage, and processing practices and security measures, as well as physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store personal data.
We restrict access to NPI to our employees, contractors, and agents who need to know that information in order to operate, develop, or improve our services. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution if they fail to meet these obligations.
However, as effective as our security measures are, no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the security of our systems, nor can we guarantee that information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to us over the Internet.
